Welcome...

Who Is Audie Murphy?

No, I’m not the most decorated to serve in WWII nor have I starred in several cowboy western movies over the years. However, for you history buffs or those who have been around for a few years, I was indeed named after the original Audie Murphy.

This Audie Murphy is a singer/songwriter from the east central Indiana area who accepted Christ into my life as personal Savior at the age of 10. My musical journey, however, began several years ago when I sang in front of a group of people for the first time. It was soon after I began singing publicly that the Lord allowed me the opportunity to write many poems as an expression of my faith. I also began singing in local churches and nursing homes thereafter. I started sharing these poems with people a few years back while continuing to work on the singing aspect. My debut CD project entitled “My Savior, My God” was completed as the Lord blessed the singing, writing and combination of people that worked on this project to come together. The CD is a mix of several original and a few cover songs. This exciting process also gave me the opportunity to express my passion for serving the Lord and for being grateful for the gifts He has given me.

What about the CD?

I’ve always had a passion for music. I remember that I would often listen to a stack of 45 records when I was really small while I lay on my bed at home. We had everything playing from gospel to country to pop. The diverse music I grew up with and still listen to no doubt has naturally influenced who I am as an artist. This is quite reflective on the CD. You can hear a little bit of all of these genres in the music. My interest is singing music with Christ-centered messages.

I had great people around me helping me with this project and I am grateful for each and every one of them.

If you enjoy the album preview and would like a CD or would like to have me sing at your church please contact me.

I hope to hear from you and look forward to an exciting 2008-2009!
